AMOY JAGDEES Assistant Camp Director
Amoy obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education at BMCC, her Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the City College of New York, and her Master of Science Degree in Special Education at Brooklyn College. A former preschool teacher at St. Luke’s Academy in Fort Greene, Amoy is a special education teacher in a Brooklyn-based public school. She is highly skilled in IEP development and implementation, individualized instruction, student differentiation, and behavior management. Amoy is passionate and devoted to shaping young lives, with a caring, collaborative approach to student-centered learning.
Amoy began her career at Camp Fort Greene in Summer 2013, when she worked as a Substitute Camp Counselor. She was rehired the following year as a full-time Senior Counselor, promoted to Camp Fort Greene Staff Manager from 2016 to 2018, and has worked as Assistant Camp Director since 2019.
Dedicated to creating an unforgettable camp experience for young people, Amoy cultivates and maintains meaningful relationships with camp families. An advocate for all staff, she scaffolds the systems, policies, and culture that deliver high-level employee satisfaction.
