Senior Counselor

Senior Counselors are responsible for leading a group of 15 campers with two Junior Counselors under their direction.  Senior Counselors are expected to follow the established curriculum plan and schedule but are encouraged to contribute their own expertise and create an individualized approach to each investigation. 

Qualifications

  • Must be college educated and/or have extensive teaching experience. 
  • Priority given to those with Teaching Certificate and advanced degrees.
  • Must agree to a background check.
  • Must be fun, a great authority and responsible.
  • Must be CPR First Aid certified and/or agree to expanded CPR Pro Training with Advanced First Aid.

Senior Tech Counselor                    

Senior Counselors are responsible for tech daily instruction. We are looking for tech enthusiasts who are passionate about their work, and are eager to facilitate amazing tech experiences for children. Senior counselors should willing to give and take direction. We are looking for staff members who value teamwork and can find creative ways to inspire and encourage campers throughout their summer work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College coursework in a tech related field and/or a passion for technology.
  • Familiarity with Lego Education Technology. (LEGO WeDO or Mindstorm Software)
  • Familiarity with Scratch 
  • A desire to teach and care for campers. A positive attitude, patience, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Must agree to a background check.
  • Must be CPR First Aid certified and/or agree to expanded CPR Pro Training with Advanced First Aid.

Senior Counselor/Medical Coordinator                    

This position is a dual role. Counselor will perform all Senior Counselor duties listed above as well as represent the camp as the Medical Coordinator. The Medical Coordinator is responsible for the general care of our campers, mandated reporting, maintaining our health log daily, tending to all injuries and reporting to managers on duty. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College or professional coursework in a medical field and/or a professional degree in a medical field.
  • Should either be interested in both working with children and work in a medical or health field. 
  • A desire to teach and care for camper. A positive attitude, patience, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Must agree to a background check.
  • Must be CPR First Aid certified and/or agree to expanded CPR Pro Training with Advanced First Aid.

Junior Counselor

Junior Counselors are expected to work under their assigned Senior Counselors.  They will be responsible to lead projects and work as a team to manage a group of 15 campers.  We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about working at a summer camp and are eager to facilitate amazing experiences for children.  Junior Counselors should be willing to give and take direction.  Junior Counselors must value teamwork and help find creative ways to inspire and encourage campers throughout their summer investigations.  

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must agree to a background check

Junior Tech Counselor

Junior Tech Counselors are expected to support Senior Tech Counselors in daily tech instruction. We are looking for tech enthusiasts who are passionate about their work, and are eager to facilitate amazing tech experiences for children. Junior Counselors should be willing to give and take direction. We are looking for staff members who value teamwork and can find creative ways to inspire and encourage campers throughout their summer work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience in technology and an interest in furthering that experience
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must agree to a background check

After Camp Care Counselor

After Camp Care Counselors manage and execute our After Camp Program which runs from 3-6pm daily. Responsibilities include managing a group of campers in passive play, organized arts and crafts, snack and rest time.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must agree to a background check
  • Must have extensive experience in childcare
  • Must have CPR training and/or agree to participate in an expanded CPR PRO training class
